Job Title    :     Lead .Net Developer
Location    :     McLean, VA (Local to MD/VA/DC Only)
Duration    :    6-12 months
Rate           :     $55/Hr

Face 2 Face interview required....

 

We need one person that is more oriented toward the backend (.net, C#) and two more oriented toward the front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

 

Web Developer will have a strong background in web standards, web application principles, Microsoft .NET technology stack (including C#, ASP.NET, MVC) and cross browser HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.  A solid understanding of web application design and architecture principles is required. A familiarity with relational database structures and principles, and how web applications interact with relational data, is highly desirable.

 

Description Percentage of Time Required
Building web applications, Windows services and HTTP handlers and web pages using the Microsoft .NET application platform, as well as using the latest technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and XML/XSL. 70%

 

Position Requirements
Level of education and/or experience/training:
1. A technical degree in computer science or computer information systems.  Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for formal education. 
2. At least 6 years of experience with hands on development with over a year of Lead experience
3. Formal training or equivalent experience with Agile development methodologies a plus

 

Key abilities and traits:
1. Ability to analyze requirements and translate to code
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
4. Proven track record of meeting deadlines/deliverables

 

Key knowledge required and degree of competency:
Expert Knowledge (Define and/or describe testing and evaluation criteria)
1. Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET
2. XML concepts, data manipulation in XML
3. Web application constructs and architecture

 

Working Knowledge
1. HTML5/CSS
2. jQuery
3. JSON
4. SQL

 

Exposure to
1. External APIs, such as Google Maps API, etc.
