Title: QA Tester

Duration: 12 months contract

Location: Rochester, NY

 

Client is currently looking for two Sr. Level Testers to come in and be a part of a 12 month contract opportunity.

 

The team will be testing a Java J2EE based publishing application that will be utilized by public record and government researchers.  On a day to day they will be doing validation of content within the system versus the data warehouse depending on request and requirement outlines.  The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Java development but has moved into a QA role. If this person is strictly QA; that is fine but they need to have strong knowledge in testing backed Java applications specifically testing the pathways that process data and end up in a warehouse, there is no application front end. A front end GUI tester WILL NOT work for this position.

 

1) Java/Junit: 3-5 years:  Writing test cases using JUnit OR Java, automating using JUnit.  THIS IS NOT A GUI TESTER.  This person will be testing the pathways that process data and end up in a warehouse, there is no application front end.

2 ) MySQL: 3-5 years:  Utilizing MySQL To write statements To extract data from the databases

3) Automated Testing: 2+ Years: creating test cases AND test plans To automate testing efforts.

 

Plus: Design analysis (proven analytical AND development background.)
