Technical developer responsible for maintaining and improving the AA.com visual redesign effort..

Additional Job Info:

Demonstrates hands-on expertise in J2EE technologies, specifically, Java, Websphere, Struts, Spring, JMS, and JDBC. Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Utilizes object oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test software systems. Uses test driven development techniques including JUnit. Investigates and resolves problems on software products and systems. Identifies areas for code improvement and refactors code. Participates in requirements review sessions. Contributes to project estimation process. Performs peer code reviews. Prepares system documentation.

 

Top 3 Skills (stack ranked):1. J2EE (5-7 years) 2. JMS (3-5 years) 3. Agile (2-3 years)

 

Technical Environment:CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery                                                                       

 

Non-technical Skills (i.e., communication, problem solving, etc.): : Candidates need a broad knowledge AND experience level with the core Technologies used To render web sites AND web application User Interfaces including HTML/XHTML, Javascript, AND Cascading Style sheets. Additionally they have a strong understanding of the server side Technologies often used To generate the markup that is delivered To a browser, for example JSP, ASP, Java Servlets, Spring, Struts/Tiles, etc. Demonstrated experience with front-end frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype/Scriptaculous, DOJO, etc AND knowledge of underlying Technologies required. Analysis of client rendering AND performance using Firebug, YSlow, Web Inspector, Speed Tracer, etc is preferred. Understanding AND interpreting design specifications is very important AND the Candidate should have experience implementing HTML/XHTML mockups AND prototypes from wireframe documents AND graphic design compositions.
