{Job Junction} Urgent Requirement :: Microstrategy Configuration Specialist/Administrator - Hartford, CT

Title: Microstrategy Configuration Specialist/Administrator. 

Location: Hartford, CT

Duration: 5 months contract

 

They are in the process of bringing Microstrategy into their BI environment. They currently support Cognos and Business Objects with approximately 3,000 users on each. They will support 2,000 users on the Microstrategy platform.

This person will be responsible for supporting multiple project teams, including but not limited to server management, release management, license management, and project configuration and management

Mentor junior administrators, providing assistance where needed

Develop, maintain, and enforce BI standards and service model(s)

Can provide multiple design solutions along with project estimates

Collaborate with project teams on BI architecture design and decision-making

Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

Influences senior leaders

 

1.) Must have hands on experience configuring Microstrategy version 9.2.1 on a Windows platform.

2.) Must have experience setting up security during the initial installation (they are using Windows Authentication AND Active Directory Authorization).

3.) Must have experience installing in an enterprise level environment where there are multiple customers AND diverse environments.

 

Plus: Experience developing reports in Microstrategy
