Position Title: Systems Engineer (Mobile Apps)

Location : Seattle, WA or Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : Full time

We are in search of an experienced Systems Engineer to work in our Seattle, WA or Sunnyvale, CA office. Good Technology is the solution of choice for leading enterprises needing secure communication and management of their mobile devices.

Candidate will be working in the mobility space, arguably the hottest software segment out there, supporting highly available Linux/Sun/Oracle systems in multiple data centers that work with iPhones, iPads, Windows Mobile, and Android devices.

Responsibilities include:

•Architect, monitor, and maintain systems infrastructure supporting business-critical customer service

•Support Sun Solaris 10 and CentOS 5.4 servers running in production messaging platform for large user base

•Support Veritas Cluster Server providing high availability environment for critical services

•Support VMWare vSphere 5 infrastructure

•Troubleshoot and quickly resolve system and application issues

•Periodic on call duties required (after hours / weekend)

 

Educational Requirements:

•BS Computer Science (or equivalent professional experience)

 

Required Skills & Experience:

•5+ years' experience supporting server and application infrastructure in 24x7 production environment

•Expert-level knowledge & experience with UNIX scripting (shell/Perl), Sun Solaris 10, Tomcat and JBoss required

•Expert-level knowledge & experience with Linux (CentOS), Veritas Cluster Server, Apache2, Nagios, VMWare, Configuration Management (cfengine, Puppet) highly desired

•Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and time management proficiency

•Ability to function independently with minimal
