Description

Department of Transportation is seeking to fill a short term IT staffing position (approx. 12 month) assignment. The selected candidate will be the primary NCDOT lead for the requirements, business processes and testing activities for the ROME Project . The main responsibilities include: • Work with the project team and vendor to develop and analyze the business and technical requirements for ROME • Use techniques such as cases, storyboards and JAD sessions to help identify and gain agreement on the requirements • Create and manage the requirements documentation for the project • Lead the planning and execution of testing activities for the ROME Project, to include test plans, test cases and user acceptance • Build a requirements traceability matrix to verify successful delivery of all ROME requirements • Ensure requirements across NCDOT are represented in the project documentation • Support the NCDOT project manager in planning deliverables, scope, schedule and other aspects of the project • Provide knowledge transfer and training to NCDOT personnel, per project plans • Work effectively within the GIS Unit''s project team model • Help support achievement of the ROME business case Note: For this position, soft skills are as important as technical skills, particularly in communication and facilitation skills.
