Requirements:
Looking for skilled software test engineer to join the team creating Product Verification platform. Product Verification platform is a set of tools that enables groups to ensure the usability and reliability .Platform is built using Oracle database, Java, Hadoop, and Shell scripting.
This is an excellent opportunity to work hand-in-hand with an energetic and dedicated agile development team performing testing activities and demonstrating excellent logic and problem solving skills.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
· Collaboration with development team to ensure testable user stories are created and estimated
· Working with Product Management in determining acceptance criteria for user stories
· Recommending test approach, test environment requirements and data strategies
· Executing a testing process that fits within our Agile development life cycle
· Working closely with development team to identify and resolve issues
· Analyzing, designing and maintaining test artifacts
· Creating and/or setting up test environments and test data
· Developing and executing automated and manual tests
Qualifications
· BS in a technical discipline
· 5+ years of test engineering experience
· Deep knowledge of test methodologies and debugging
· 3 years of development and/or test automation experience
· Experience testing large structured data sets
· Excellent SQL knowledge (Oracle)
· Excellent coding skills in Java or Python with scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Shell)
· Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
· Strong communication skills
· Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
· Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
· Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
· Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
· Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
