Role: SQL Coder
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 6+ months
Role is for a really good high level SQL coder. This is the core skill set. Must have at least 5+ years. Experience with Teradata and BI/BO a bonus (Teradata a bigger plus than BO). Prior Capital One contractor is #1 preference. If not then would like to see someone with financial services (with a plus on mortgage experience specifically).
They are looking for someone to come in and work on an application that runs on SQL and pulls from Teradata. Looking for someone who can write code to develop reports. Reports will be generated in BO (a tool they are just now bringing in). As a result BO experience is helpful, but not required as they will have to train everyone on it anyways.
Will work directly with reports requirement writer who works with users to create a very detailed requirements doc. One this contractor receives those requirements they generate the report. As a result communication skills are not that critical for this role as they will only be interfacing with this one person for the most part, and the rest is more heads down coding.
They are going to be critical on candidates. Will want to conduct a couple interviews before making a hiring decision. Will be multi stage screening.
