Job Title: Business Objects Developer
Location: Bethlehem, PA (or) Appleton, WI

Position Functions or Responsibilities:
Gather requirements from the Business users to prepare high-level report and universe design.
Based on that, design a database model (if new application) and work with database team throughout data modeling phase.
Present proposed design to client architects as part of Report Design and Code reviews.
Develop necessary database views once design is approved.
Develop and unit test ad-hoc Universes and complex Web Intelligence reports.
Analyze existing BW reports, and suggest changes to design and take charge of redevelopment in Business Objects.
Work very closely with the Client and Business users to gather requirements or propose changes to the existing applications.
Work in a fast-paced environment as part of a small team, in a constantly changing requirements environment.
5-8 years of experience in developing Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports and Universes using Business Objects XI R2/ 3.1
Extensive experience developing reports and IDT universes using Business Objects XI R 4.0 or 4.1
Strong knowledge of querying against databases - Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server- Extensive experience in writing views to meet reporting requirements.
Strong knowledge of relational database and data warehousing concepts
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working with BW and Business Objects.
Extensive experience in gathering reporting requirements and designing reporting solutions.
Excellent Communication skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced and highly volatile development environment.
