Jobtitle : Oracle Apps DBA
Location : Foster City, CA
Duration : 6+ Months Contract

Start: 11/4

 

Required:
Oracle DBA with strong technical experience in MS SQL.
One or two RAC implementation experience

 

Responsibilities/Expected deliverables:
Perform Oracle database (11g, RAC & standalone) design, architect, installation  & configuration
Perform MS-SQL 2008 cluster design, architect, installation and configuration
Manage dev, uat, val and production environment usage, refreshes and  integrations concerning DBs
Proactively monitor databases to ensure DB health, performance & stability
Work closely with application development groups to analyze and troubleshoot database performance and capacity issues
Responsible for implementation and release of database changes.
Assist developers with database requirement gathering, load testing & capacity planning
Work closely with server and storage team concerning system resource usage and disk space allocation, system backups, and system performance.
