Position :UX Designer

Duration: Initially for 3 months. To be extended based on performance

Location: Preference is on-site in Hunt Valley MD, or at their office in Rockville, MD

Locals to MD/DC/VA  preferred

All submissions should have a portfolio

Experience: 5 years as a UX designer

 

ZENIMAX MEDIA is a games company. For this job, game experience is not needed, but will be a nice-to-have (more later).

 

The job is about designing online account management of your game and account, view leaderboards, ecommerce integration, and determine the best way to present content to users - marketing articles and feature content  

 

 

-Experience working on a web-based Online Account Management system or something similar. Examples: OLAM for AT&T or Home Depot, online management for Twitter, Tumblr, etc. Looking for strong web transactional design skills.

Skills

-          Speak with stakeholders to understand requirements and UX direction

-          Wireframing of pages

-          Good Analytical skills

-          Strong knowledge of web

-          Mobile and desktop experience are also important

-          Visual Design is a big plus

-          Prototyping is nice to have but wireframes are sufficient

 

Familiarity with account management in the following games would be helpful. This can be picked up pretty easily on the fly:

Blizzard,   Valve and Steam,    Origin from EA

 

What they want to see: A portfolio of projects where the designer shows step-by-step, how he came up with one or more designs. This is a pretty standard way for UX portfolios to be presented.

 

Successful People there:

-          Have strong web experience

-          Don't have to have gaming experience – they can learn what they need to know on the fly

 

 

Environment: Agile development, UXers work on their own but are given a schedule as to when to have individual tasks/sections completed. They have free rein to speak with developers and stakeholders during the design process.

Development Suite:

Modern bootstrapping

HTML, CSS, Javascript

 

 

 

Role - UX Architect

Duration - 1 year

Location - Boca Raton , FL

Portfolio should be submitted with resume

 

1.      Must have eCommerce background

2.      User experience (80% weightage)

3.      UI Design (20% weightage)

4.      Portfolio should be submitted with resume

5.      Must be experienced with Style Guide integration

6.      Should have addressed Wireframing, Design Thinking, Prototyping

 

 

DUTIES: Usability Architect will provide user experience leadership and specific user Interface design guidance on multiple implementation projects. He/She will work with cross-functional teams to execute the UX project plan.

JD:

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently

- Gather requirements by talking to users/stakeholders and understanding product goals

- Rapidly create and iterate on wireframes/prototypes and eventually high fidelity mockups

- 6+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role

- Working knowledge of front-end UI technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, etc.)

- Background in information systems, web development, interactive design, human factors, human-computer interaction, product management

- Working knowledge of mobile UI and interaction design

- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and written/oral communication skills

- Experience working effectively with cross-functional, global/distributed teams

- Demonstrated leadership, influencing and negotiation skills

- Organized, detail- and results-oriented, yet able to hold the "big picture" in mind and work towards long term goals/vision
