Position: PL/SQL Developer
Location – REMOTE
Duration - Long Term
Position Details:
Senior Developer with expert level experience in architecting, designing data infrastructure, and building of client requirements.
Technical Skills:
• Experience using Ansi-standard SQL, preferably PL-SQL. Experience designing and tuning mid-to-advanced queries, including correlated sub-queries, inline updates, case statements, Queries joined with queries, etc.
• Understanding of relational databases and relationships between tables – parent/child, 1-many,many to many, 1:1.
• Experience designing, coding and testing PL-SQL procedures and packages, simple and materialized views.
• Understanding of performance tuning, proper index design, use of sequence and triggers in PL-SQL.
• Understanding of the difference between set-based logic and row-based logic.
Responsibilitie:
• Break down business problems into solvable components by assessing the requirements and/or business implications to arrive at recommended solutions
• Develop and deliver the data infrastructure required to support needs of predictive modeling and analytics
• Build information platforms or data spaces designed for exploring and understanding the data
• Develop prototypes for business solutions (dimensional models, model builds) so that business users may visually understand and explore a new feature or functionality before implementation to expose design assumptions and drive ideation
• Develop test plans and scripts, prepare test data, reconcile data sources and execute functional tests
• Scalable solutions and processing massive amount of information in parallel
• Application performance and user quality of experience analysis, network and customer usage behavioral analysis, and application development
• This role focuses on the development of stored procedures, functions and SQL scripts for various reports and ad-hoc analysis.
Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge and experience in OLAP Data technologies (e.g., Ab Initio, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services, ETL, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, UNIX Hadoop-JAVA MapReduce)
• Strong problem solving, multitasking and time management skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong understanding of data relationships
• Good understanding of database and data model concepts
• Ability to work in a cross disciplinary teams including data scientists, software engineers and domain experts
