Job Description:

 

 

They are looking for a STRONG Microsoft SQL Server developer to join the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team. This person will be the primary developer of ETL processes using MS SQL and SSIS/SSRS to build efficient and accurate data warehousing solutions. The position involves the design, development and maintenance of all SSIS Packages and enhancements in an MS SQL Server 2008 environment.  Person should be tech savvy and consistently looking at what's new in their domain of expertise.

Data modeling experience in an enterprise data warehousing environment. 
Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts such as dimensions and fact tables. 
Strong development experience using MS SQL Server tables, views, stored procedures, etc. 
Strong experience using Microsoft SSIS/SSRS 
Strong experience building extract, transformation, and load processes to convert operational transactional data into dimensions and fact tables. 
Experience defining and building necessary audits and controls to ensure the accuracy of the data. 
Experience troubleshooting SSIS performance/deployment and other related issues. 
Strong documentation skills.   Candidate will be responsible for creating and Technical/Support/Maintenance Document of the entire ETL process.  
Ability to research and resolve technical issues independently. 
Must have very good communication skills and ability to communicate with non-technical customers.
Must be able to work within a team of other data architects and developers.
Industry Experience Required
7+ years experience in data warehousing, preferably in consumer products industry. 
7+ years with MS SQL Server, most recent experience using 2005 and 2008 versions. 
7+ years with Microsoft BI (SSIS/SSRS) development, some SSAS also
