JOB DESCRIPTION:-
Job Title | Technical Designer | Relevant Experience (Yrs) | 1. 6+yrs experience as Technical Lead / Technical Designer
2. 3+ years' experience with web services, service based design / development, XML/XSD
3. 3+ years' experience with Oracle SQL
4. 2+ years' experience with UML diagrams (Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, Business Process Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams etc.)
5. Exposure to Java Script programming
6. Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving skills.
7. Must be a team player.
8. Must have "can do" /"will do" attitude.
9. Must be comfortable in working on onsite / offshore model. | Additional Technical Skills | 1. Experience in a Cable, Telecom, or a Media company a plus
2. Experience with Voice, Data, and Video technology a plus
3. Exposure to Agile methodology a plus.
4. Exposure to Conceptwave Ordercare product, would be a plus.
5. | Total Experience Required | 6+ Years | | Roles & Responsibilities | 1. Participate in JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions initiated by solution designer and contribute to end to end design.
2. Assist Intake / Architecture team in coming up with the system requirements pertaining to intake requests.
3. Prepare detailed functional specification documents. This must contain containing functional requirements corresponding to system requirements, use cases , sequence diagrams , sample request / response xml and pseudo-code , when required.
4. Work closely with Solution Design team, I/A team, development and QA teams to come up with functional specification document.
5. Study the code in developed in Conceptwave Ordercare framework to understand the as-is functionality.
6. Setup design walkthrough sessions with development / QA teams prior to release commit of each release.
7. Review test cases prepared by functional QA team.
8. Provide design support to development / QA teams during development and QA phases respectively.
9. Design and Develop enterprise applications using Agile methodology. Design core components using Agile methodology. This includes creating Detailed Design using UML, Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams, and sometimes pseudo-code level details.
10. Perform other duties as assigned
