REQ: Java Developer - flex and Artesia knowledge

LOCATION: New York City, NY

DURATION:6+months

 

Necessary Skills:

 

·         Excellent ability to develop web application using

o   jsp

o   java

o   Struts

o   Flex

·         Should have a very good knowledge of Oracle and SQL

·         Knowledge of XML and DTD

·         Develop new solution or debug existing solution

·         Experience in using standard java development IDE like Eclipse, Weblogic Workshop etc.

·         Comfortable in writing UNIX Scripts and Python scripts

·         Develop Reports out of data

·         Should have experience in combining spreadsheet data to create cross references, reports, and data integrity checks.

·         Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills

·         Knowledge of Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

·         Highly creative with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

 

 

Desired Skills:

 

·         Good knowledge of Artesia/OpenText

·         Good knowledge of content management system – Documentum and Marklogic

·         Knowledge of user, group and role administration in Documentum

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

• Monitoring issues in defect monitoring system and close them.
• Monitor e-mails generated out of daily jobs
• Support Artisia / OpenText

• Manage application users and acess levels
• Send out communication to user community for any major event on application
• Manage content pre-ingestion
• Manage content enrichment
• Manage web tool keywords and script if needed
• Change to existing script
• Do application enhancements and upgrades.
• Fix bugs as needed
• Enhance/fix bugs to reporting tool
• Change UNIX and Python scripts

 

• Support Documentum

• Manage users and access
• Manage user groups and re-organize groups
• Configure storage slice and monitor Storage usage
• System maintenance
• Support archival
• Do application enhancement and fix application issues
• Do application upgrades

 

• Support and do enhancement for supporting application
• Define development objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
• Application enhancement/development based on user stories.
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

·         Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
