TITLE: Application Compatibility Testing
Job Description
Candidate with 4 – 6 yrs of experience in the field of Application Compatibility Testing as a primary skill and exposure to Application Packaging & MSI Technology as a secondary skills. Expertise in handling the tools like ACT (Microsoft)/App-DNA is a must. Working knowledge in handling the shims is required. Good understanding and exposure on Application Compatibility and remediation process. Good hands on in installing & configuring App-DNA and maintaining the SQL database for App-DNA. Resource should have good exposure in testing the web applications & office files using App-DNA & ACT. Resource should have a working knowledge in Windows 7 environment.
Tools and Technologies:
Compatibility Tool Skills: Microsoft ACT/App-DNA
Tools: Orca, VM Ware, Procmon.
Operation Systems: Windows XP and Win 7
Scripting Tool: VB Scripting
Role Description:
•Customer co-ordination regarding application compatibility & packaging and technical assessment requests.
•Performing technical/application assessment of all software's before Testing. This assessment involves end to end validation of the legacy software on target platform before undergoing actual Testing.
•Helping team in troubleshooting technical problems and training team if required.
•Handling technical queries with clients as well as with internal team.
•Performing QA for applications tested by Compatibility team, for accurate results.
Communication & Documentation:- Excellent communication (Written & Verbal), customer handling skills & Documentation skills.
