TITLE: ORACLE DBA

Location: Houston, TX (preferably candidates who can come for in-person interview at Houston).  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Tasks to be Performed        
• Experience supporting production databases. • Perform Oracle 10G database administration, setup, partitioning, reorg, performance tuning, backup/recovery, etc. • Work with technical team members and users to implement enhancements to staging and production. • Work with application development, test, and QA team members throughout the SDLC • Follow department change control policies/standards • Participate in 24X7 system support on-call rotations
Skillset Details        
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. • Oracle certified DBA with strong 10G knowledge. • Must have 5+ years of Oracle experience. Accounting/financial systems knowledge is a plus. • Must have Unix experience using shell scripting and X windows (HP Unix a plus) • Must have experience working on large complex projects with tight deadlines. • Must be a quick learner and self sufficient. • Good communications skills are required. • Must be able to interact with business users and technical team members. • Candidate possess OCP, preferably
