Position: Sr. ETL Developer
Location: Costa Mesa, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)
End Date: 1-year contract
Job Description:
Data Warehouse ETL developer is responsible for ETL development using Informatica in Microsoft SQL Server environment and all aspects of data warehouse reporting. The objective is to transition legacy data warehouse to a structure focused on supporting customer behavior analytics.
o Work as part of a team to deliver federated dimensional model for growing online consumer subscription service.
o Design and develop ETL specifications, processes, and documentation to produce required data deliverables (data profiling, source to target maps, ETL flows, scripts, etc.). o Support of ETL environment including but not limited to automation, job scheduling, monitoring, maintenance, security, and administration.
o Assist in definition of logical and physical data models B2C ecommerce business.
o Configure and tune ETL mappings to optimize the data warehousing architecture
o Troubleshoot and resolve data, system issues and performance issues.
o Champion and manage new initiatives to completion to improve and streamline operations processes and maximize systems efficiency.
o Participate in requirement definition, solution development and implementation phases of data warehouse and reporting projects.
Skills Required:
o Passionate ETL resource with expertise in Informatica and dimensional modeling.
o SQL Server - SSIS, SQL queries and stored procedures.
o Extensive experience with data warehouse concepts and methodologies.
o Experience with database design & modeling.
o Must have working experience in ecommerce industry and web analytics
o Good written and oral communication skills; excellent technical skills.
o Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and able to work independently
o Experience with data modeling tool (ER/Studio)
o Education: BS degree or higher in MIS or engineering fields.
Skills Preferred but Not Required:
Cognos or other BI tools
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 8
Costa Mesa, CA area-based, 8+ yr. Sr. ETL Dev. w/SQL Server, SSIS, SQL queries, stored procedures, DW concepts/methodologies, DB design/modeling; e-commerce/web analytics; & data modeling; who will work on a 1-year contract.
