Description
Provide Support for SAP MM-PUR, MM- IM, and RLM. This role will ensure that a high level of customer service is provided and will require a fundamental understanding of Procurement and Warehousing business processes. Customer base includes Houston and International Supply Chain organizations. The candidate will participate in global SAP new implementation and projects; Participate in ongoing support which includes frequent upgrades to the SAP system requiring system configuration, testing, quality assurance and training of end users. Must also provide end-user training when necessary.
Candidate will participate in SAP and industry sponsored seminars, conferences and workshops to develop best practices, share knowledge across industry partners and assist SAP in improving the product. The candidate will also work with the Business Systems team to ensure that E&P Enterprise Architecture principals and technical standards are communicated and followed within SAP.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide support for SAP MM Purchasing, Inventory Management, Consumption Based Planning and Remote Logistics processes. This support includes resolving day to day system issues, making system configuration changes, thoroughly testing and documenting system configuration changes or working with SAP for resolution.
• Responsible for assisting the Global Supply Chain business units in maximizing capabilities and ensuring that system configuration supports standard industry processes. Ensure that customers adhere to established Hess processes and E&P Enterprise Architecture principals.
• Troubleshoot and provide support on SAP security authorizations in related modules.
• Responsible for system upgrades and acceptance testing of new software releases.
• Assist customers in running and interpreting results of reports used in analysis.
• Provide project management skills in new SAP project implementations. Includes creating project plans, test plans and coordinating efforts with ABAP, BASIS and BI technical support.
• Provide support and management of third party consultants that are allocated to SAP projects.
• Develop and deliver end user training.
• Domestic and International Travel may be required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• Strong Process and analytical skills.
• Talent for working with highly integrated software systems.
• Must be able to take the initiative and work independently as well as part of a team for multi-person development projects.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints.
• Advanced Microsoft Skills (Excel, Work, Access, and Project).
• Excellent communication, written and relationship-building skills. Ability to work well with others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
• ¿ BS Degree required;
• ¿ 5+ years in oil and gas industry
• ¿ Configuration and Implementation experience in SAP is required
• ¿ Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation
