Job Purpose:
Work with architects to properly conform to architectural guidance, constraints, blueprints and principles. Able to provide input and guidance to project managers to help determine timelines, budget and resource needs This role should be able to (when necessary) work with business analysts to understand business requirements and provide leadership and direction to the development team on how to translate them into highly usable and user friendly user interfaces. Provide technical leadership to design and maintain user interfaces, interaction / navigation models, and databases utilized by online platforms and systems.
Key Result Areas:
1. Responsible for overall technical implementation of applications and frequently interact with internal and external business contacts
2. Responsible for defining and improving specifications for database structure, security, backup, and recovery
3. Responsible for leading a team of IT Professionals developing and maintaining systems, applications, and databases
4. Line manager for development resources and SME/BA/QA resources assigned to the project
5. Provides technical knowledge and direction to the IT development team.
6. Lead the specification and software development phases of the software development life cycle
7. Install revised or new database systems and implement optimum access techniques
8. Support and maintain database functions and performance and implement new releases
9. Work closely with team members to produce technologically enabled applications, products and services
10. Lead developers to implement the architecture modeled by the architects.
11. Perform database management and data maintenance
12. Responsible for Quality Control (Code) Reviews of all code written by the team
13. Lead QA team to create requirements from the business users' specifications
14. Responsible for ensuring the QA team adheres to company standards
15. Provide direction and coaching of staff in areas where needed
16. Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during implementation
17. Lead root cause analyses, communicate options for resolutions and provide recommendations to technology problems
18. Research and resolve any technical application issues
19. Provide technical direction in best practices, design and technologies
20. Provide technology-enabled solutions to address complex business problems

3. Minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience in administering databases
4. A proven track record in supervising employees

7. Ability to diagnose organizational synergies in order to build an effective organization.
8. Must have clear ability when dealing with complex issues.
Knowledge:
1. Comprehends roles of key stakeholders

3. Must possess knowledge of the functional areas for which they are responsible and a general knowledge of numerous other functional areas with which their areas of responsibility must interact.
Technical Skills:
