REQUIRED EDUCATION:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND EXPERIENCE IN OFFICE AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, INSTALLATION, OPERATION, REPAIR, OR PROCESSING OF INFORMATION IN A DATA PROCESSING ENVIRONMENT.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
CISCO CCNA OR
NET+ PREFERRED (DEGREE'S OR EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED)
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for providing technical services and support to ensure operational availability of networks and related systems as the most technical skilled network technician or in the Clemson Network Operations Center. Running and monitoring jobs in a mainframe environment will be a required duty, as well. This position is also responsible for carrying out incident management processes including monitoring systems/services, ticketing, notification, problem analysis, tracking, and resolution. . Additional daily activities include, but are not limited to, IP address provisioning, DNS configuration, switch port provisioning, firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting.
