Job Title: Web Admin / Production Support

Duration: 3+ Months

Location: Cherry Hills, NJ

 

Client: Xerox

 

Note : Client suggestion is that if the candidate is strong even in one Web / App server administration, that person should be able to pick up the other server(s) quickly. Candidate should be flexible & willing to quickly learn & adapt new technology and environment to mostly monitor and traversing the logs on the servers

 

Job description:

·         Have good attention to detail and improve existing documentation

·         Process oriented and interest in continuously improving

·         Vigilant toward maintenance and troubleshooting existing applications

·         Help overcome web admin hurdles during implementation (Accountable for web admin implementation)

·         Monitor and debug issues in day to day activities as well as during performance testing periods

·         Proactively investigate logs and systems to improve system upgrade

·         Able to communicate with other teams and maintain a comfortable and conducive work environment.

·         Have comprehensive knowledge and skills to resolve web admin issues as needed / overcome hurdles

·         Keep abreast of HRS standards, technologies or methodologies

·         Incorporate solid monitoring tools and alerts to prevent production down time

·         Review existing documentation for accuracy and quality

·         Help application and development teams in coordinating tasks, releases, testing and closure of web admin activities.

 

Skills

·         Minimum 8-10 years of experience

·         Strong understanding of multiple production, e.g. IIS, J2EE, Sun GlassFish, SpringSource Tomcat, Sun ONE, ATG and Weblogic Server

·         Working knowledge of Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms

·         Experience with multiple java versions

·         Good listener and communicator

·         Flexible / and get along with others

·         Handle work pressure and personalities

·         Carry out multiple assignments and yet be detail oriented

·         Initiative and Driven

 

Education

Should have a first degree in any of these: Computer Science, information technology, management information systems, software engineering or networking.  Master's degree preferred.
