Job Title    Unix Administrator

Duration:   6 months

Location:   Commack, NY

 

They are looking for someone with over 4 years of Systems Administration experience as well as experience with Unix OS Flavors such as; AIX, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux. This candidate must also have current experience working with enterprise backup solutions such as; EMC Legato and Veritas Netbackup. They are required to have their Solaris, AIX, or Red Hat Linux certifications.

 

The candidate will be performing local and remote installations from scripts and patching and updating of Solaris/AIX/Linux (Red Hat) systems as well.

 

Experience:

 

·         4+ years experience as a Systems Administrator. 

·         4+ current years experience with various UNIX OS flavors (i.e. AIX, Solaris and Red Hat Linux) and related applications.

·         Current experience with enterprise ticketing solutions (e.g. BMC Remedy).

·         4+ current years experience with enterprise backup solutions (i.e. EMC Legato, Veritas Netbackup).

·         Prior pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience desirable.

 

Licensure/Credentials:

 

·         Solaris, AIX or Red Hat Linux certification is required.

·         Knowledge of ITIL processes required. ITIL certification is a plus.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·         Perform local and remote installation of Solaris / AIX / Linux (Red Hat) from scripts.

·         Perform patching and updating of Solaris / AIX / Linux (Red Hat) systems.
