 Job Description

Application Architect - Responsibilities - Develop an appropriate solution design, working with all relevant business and IT subject matter experts, that meets the stated business needs of the project. Documented and justify the solution in the Software Architecture Document, should be consistent with architecture best practice, enterprise standards and blueprints. Any exceptions must be identified, justified and approved via the necessary processes. Responsible for the technical direction for the project and may provide support and mentoring for technical SMEs according to the agreed level of engagement necessary for the success of the project. Participate in business requirement sessions. Understand the Aetna project methodology including deliverables related to the application architect role. Lead diverse teams using effective communication including IT departments and project team members. Utilize Rational and Microsoft tools to deliver the architecture artifacts.

Key Technical Skill – Mainframe/Cobol, Java/J2EE, Process modeling and Service Modeling.

Key Tools Experience – RSA/RSM – IBM Rational suite
