Our client in Boston is searching for a Test Automation Script Consultant for a contract through June, 2012 for the implementation and automation of the Rational Toolset, including IBM/Rational Functional Tester.
The Test Automation Script Developer will develop and maintain formal test plans and approaches to ensure delivery of quality functionality for PeopleSoft HRMS customizations.
He/She will develop and manage test cases, automated test scripts and plans for system, functional, stress, regression, smoke, integration, performance, load and user acceptance testing. The Test Automation Script Developer will also develop functions in java and do descriptive programming, understand and add into the existing automation Framework and troubleshoot the upcoming issues with the integrated Rational Toolset.
Responsibilities:
Reports to the Projecting Lead.
Works with QA & Testing Lead and project teams to facilitate the completion of various test phases including System Integration, Simulated Production test, etc.
Develops test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for all relevant plans test.
Executes test plans and scripts and document results using IBM's Rational product suite.
Collaborate with developers to resolve software defects and incorrect test results
Support overall test schedules and test/retest activities
Provide support during internal and/or external project audits
Records problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management processes.
Works with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
Validates product fixes.
Develops, updates, and maintains testing standards and procedures.
Develops and produces metrics in support of the QA testing initiative.
Required Competencies:
Experience developing scripts using IBM Rational Functional Tester.
Experience developing functions using coding in Java.
Experience in descriptive programming with other Automation Tools like QTP, Winrunner, Rational Robot, open-source.
Experience with object-oriented programming language.
Experience using integrated tools of Rational Suite (Rational Functional Tester as well as testing PeopleSoft 9.x configuration, new functionality, patches, fixes and upgrades.
Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Human Resources, Time and Labor and Payroll Administration processes is desirable.
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills (i.e. analysis, recreation).
Excellent communications skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
