{Job Junction} Urgent Requirement :: VB.net Support Developer - Houston, TX

Title: VB.net Support Developer

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6-12 months

 

We have the following 6 month-1 year contract with a client in the Houston, TX area. This is a VB.NET SUPPORT role. There will be some new enhancements but we mainly need a VB.NET Support developer with EXCELLENT communication. They will be working with post production support and bug fixing etc.

 

·         We are looking for a senior level applications support analyst to support and develop enhancements to multiple applications. The applications technologies include Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5; VB.NET, VB6, C#, ASP.NET, COM, SQL Server 2008 R2. This resource will be responsible for daily support (bug fixes & enhancements) to the systems and requires expertise with accounting systems to understand the business logic of the systems.

·         The ideal candidate will have 7+ years support/development experience (VB.NET; VB6; C#; ASP.NET) with proficient SQL Server skills (stored process; queries) as well as older technologies such as COM and VB6). It is also highly preferred that this resource have an understanding of Windows 7 and how to ensure applications are secure on a windows 7 platform (there are also web applications to support as well).
