Title: J2EE Software Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: 6-12 months
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation for multiple initiatives
- Develop systems with both traditional Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and principles. As such, you must possess strong inter-personal skills and be comfortable following the best practices of these processes.
- Develop technical system design documents.
- Production support of software application
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of software development experience, including implementation of enterprise solutions in a J2EE environment.
- Demonstrated experience in all of the following: Java, J2EE, C/C++, IBM WebSphere, Unix, HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related preferred
- Experience with web applications development. Security systems experience a plus.
- Experience working in a technical lead capacity including mentoring and coaching development staff
Skills and Knowledge
- Solid understanding of the enterprise software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to contribute to design and functional documentation. Strong organization and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical associates
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to the authoring and delivery of software and web applications
