Position: Business Clinical Data Analyst (technical)

Location: downtown Chicago, IL

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Clinical data background, data analyst background, working with both the data and the business, they use JIRA, Agile, working with the business around gathering requirements

 

Day to Day Duties

·        Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

·        Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities.

·        Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions

·        Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology

·        Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications

·        Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business

·        Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation

·        Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge

·        May make recommendations for buy versus build decision

·        Requires knowledge and experience in own function; still acquiring higher-level

·        knowledge and skills

·        Builds own knowledge of HCSC, business processes and customers

·         Solves a range of problems

·        Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures

·        Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

·        Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

·        Experience with multiple full lifecycle software projects with strong understanding of

·        How each phase fits into the overall lifecycle

·        Experience in documenting system/project requirements

·        Experience in developing test plans

·        Experience in using requirements management tools

·        Experience with business modeling tools (i.e. Visio) and various methodologies/frameworks

·        Knowledge of facilitation process or Facilitation and leadership skills

·        Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously

·        PC proficiency to include but not limited to MS Office

·        Experience with documentation of User Acceptance Test Plans and Test Cases

·        Translate high-level business requirements into functional/system requirements and manage changes to such specifications

·        Define and document requirements utilizing standardized tools and techniques

·        Serve as liaison between developers and business

·        Obtain consensus by facilitating communication and sign-off between Business, IT

(Internal HCSC and External Vendors) from initial requirements to final implementation

·        Function as a key contributor to the Release Management Team, promoting both business and IT requirement understanding and agreement

·        Escalate Requirement and Testing issues and changes to Requirements and Testing

Support Manager

·        Schedule and facilitate Functional Team meetings

·        Heavy data / SQL

·        Knows API's
