Position : Hitachi Storage SAN Admin

Location: Waukegan, IL

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Required:-

•           Experienced in HDS VSP / HUS platforms, Cisco MDS and Brocade Directors and Switches

•           Experienced in Native Hitachi Storage Admin Softwares and Hardware

•           Must have worked on Performance tuning of storage/capacity management

•           Architecting knowledge on Storage

•           Implementing new SAN arrays in DCs.

•           Expertise in Volumes/Luns creation, storage space management,

•           Configuration ,monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking, strong trouble shooting skills in storage environment and solving problems in a very short time,

•           Pro-active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/errors.

•           Strong depth knowledge of analysis for storage backend problems.

•           Remote storage administration

•           Storage controller firmware up gradation, Disk controller firmware up gradation,

 

Secondary Skills:

 

•           Exposure to mid range & high end Hitachi Blade Servers.

•           Unified converged Platform – HDS UCP

•           Exposure to VMware SRM.

•           Backup and restoration – HP Data Protector

•           License management

•           H/W troubleshooting & Vendor coordination

•           Incident management, Change management, Configuration management, Log monitoring/maintenance

 

 

Certifications: Good to have Prometric HDS or HP EVA
