Position        : Altiris Support Engineer Location        : Dublin, Ohio Rate                 : OPEN JOB DESCRIPTION: SKILLS: Work with a team of three to support our Altiris 6.x and SMP 7.1 (ITMS solutions) environments and the migration from version 6 to 7.1. · Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Symantec Management Platform 7.1, ITMS 7.1, Altiris 6.x, and Windows operating systems: · Hierarchy & replication · Security & scoping · Patch Management · Software Deployment · Reporting via SQL · Windows 4 and higher · IIS 6 and higher · Database connectivity The following skills are a plus: · Database Server management · OS X · SUSE Linux 10 and higher · VMware / vCenter · Software packaging · Scripting · ASP .Net · HTML / XML MUST HAVES: · 2+ years experience managing: · Altiris 6.x (ITMS) · SMP 7.1 (ITMS) · SQL Server 2005 and higher · Medium to large Altiris / SMP environments · Windows XP / 2003 and higher
