Job Title	DB2/DBA System Engineer
Project Location	Somerset NJ
Duration	6 months /Contract

 
Skills Required and Job Description:

M.O.I.- Phone+skype - 9-10 + years experience performing DB2 Systems Programming functions. - Experience installing/migrating DB2 subsystems to new release. - Experience with installing/migrating/supporting DB2 V10 a plus. - Experience supporting DB2 Data Sharing environment. - Proficient in installing, maintaining and support of DB2 Program Products using SMP/E. - Ability to work with and understand distributed access to DB2. - Excellent problem solving skills in DB2 and z/OS. - Proficient in system/application performance tuning and diagnostic. - Provide on-call 24x7 off hours support. - DB2 DBA experiences a plus.   In particular the individual will be involved in:   - Planning, installing, customizing, testing and administering of DB2 software and related using SMP/E. - Upgrade DB2 subsystem environments to DB2 10. -Applying maintenance to support existing DB2 infrastructure. - Interfacing with clients/Vendor technical support to resolve system problems and provide technical support. -  Monitoring of DB2 systems using tools such as CA/Insight and BMC/MainView. - Participate in the planning and recovery of the DB2 subsystems as part of Disaster Recovery Exercise
