Job Title: Lead Java J2EE Developer
Location: Dunwoody, GA (Atlanta)
Duration: 12 Months
Description:
· Senior Java/Middleware Developer & Lead needed to provide leadership in the design and delivery of
· projects across Cox using various frameworks. Candidates should have experience performing as a
· technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software
· components. Candidates will own detailed design and development of applications using Java and
· emerging technology platforms and also provide leadership/supervision to other developers. In addition,
· the role requires excellent client interaction skills as there is significant exposure to both IT and business
· clients. Relevant experience in Cable/Telecom industry is a plus. Must be local to Atlanta.
· Responsibilities include:
· Driving project/service delivery.
· Performing as technical lead on software development projects
· Design and develop to client requirements
· Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support a client,
· project or entity.
· Collaborating with other platforms tech leads to ensure integrated end-to-end design
· Documenting design decisions and ensuring adherences
· Enforcing existing process guidelines
· Mentoring junior developers
· Supporting QA during testing, and oversight during implementation into production.
· Conducting design & code reviews
· Reviewing system test scenarios & test cases.
· Providing oversight to Vendors technical design and code delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems or Engineering
· 6 - 10 years development experience in the following Technologies
Tools:
· Java / J2EE,
· SOA / ESB / Web Services
· Red Hat Linux
· Database Technologies, i.e. SQL / Oracle RDBMS
Preferred Qualifications:
· Candidate should have 6+ plus years of object oriented software development experience using Java
· Must have 5+ years of Java/J2EE technology experience including very strong SPRING framework and
· Hibernate
· Must have 3+ years of experience working in JBOSS environment
· Spring framework
· Experience developing Java Web Services Apache CXF
· UML Modeling Tool, Eclipse IDE, Visio
· XML Spy / Tools for WSDL / XSD / XPATH / XQUERY mgmt.
· JUNIT / SOAPUI / Web Service Test Tools
· Ant, Maven Software Configuration & Versioning tool.
· Sun Certified Java Programmer/Developer, Oracle Weblogic
· Performance Testing and tuning experience with Java
· Experience developing Java Batch Applications
· Experience implementing WS security
