Position: SOA Architect
Location – Chicago, IL
Duration – 6 -12 Months
TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:
Technical service orientated architecture (SOA)
Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and the Oracle SOA suite
Java development
Financial application experience is a plus
The Accounting IT team is looking for an architect to work on the various accounting activities. The accounting group is embarking on a transformation program which will develop systems to meet the future needs of the corporation.
The Accounting Team is looking for a SOA Architect/Developer
Has experience in multiple system environments. Should also be experienced in designing, developing, and test applications.
* Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions
* Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions. Responsible for the application development as well as the application environment
* Understands various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage
* Responsibilities extend to all components of an application and application environment including front, back, and middle tiers where applicable. These individuals can lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation
* Has worked on various platforms including mainframes, minis and micros
* Work may involve interacting with and managing product vendors/suppliers
* Perform as a Team Leader when required strong experience and knowledge of integration best practices and patterns, enterprise service bus concepts and service oriented architecture
· In-depth understanding of OSB/SOA/java based development
· Ability to provide guidance to implementation teams
· Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously to solve a business problem
· Ability to understand and interpret business requirements in order to create detailed technology designs
Strong experience and knowledge of integration best practices and patterns, enterprise service bus concepts and service oriented architecture
· In-depth understanding of OSB/SOA/java based development
· Ability to provide guidance to implementation teams
· Expertise in Web services and XML related technologies.
*In-depth understanding of Java,J2EE,Spring based development
• Building a service interface to our accounting engine – SOA OSB – java interface.
• Transactions through accounting engine in a real-time way.
• Accounting engine is a proprietary mainframe engine.
• Take technical expertise over financial expertise.
• Volume in the 1000's but will be in the 10,000's.
• Currently have 2 SOA architects on the team now.
• Architecture in place? Yes, now just need to design on these implementations
• Implementation schedule? Date is Beginning of 2nd quarter for syntax.
• In a perfect world, we want them to start ASAP.
• 1 SOA Architect/1 Java Architects
