Detail of Requirement
Role	Business Analyst
Mandatory Technical Skills	• Basic SQL, VB6 and TIBCO knowledge a plus  • Ability to review existing legacy code with no documentation and extract requirements which may include creating technical process flows in Visio.  • In depth understanding of Information Systems  • Comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry and CER operations a plus but not required.  • Demonstrate a history of outperforming peers  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills  • Ability to function in a team environment, across departments, and to maintain rapport with internal and external customers  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making  • Ability to rapidly learn new skills as required by assignment  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups.  • Ability to effectively manage workload and meet aggressive deadlines
Educational experience	• Required – Bachelor's degree in a Business, Information Technology, Engineering or other related field  • Required – 3-5 years of business analysis, business process re-engineering, or related experience  • Optional – Master's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Statistics, Technology or other quantitative discipline  • Preferred – CCBA certification
Mandatory Functional Skills	• Work with stakeholders to clearly identify project scope and success metrics  • Document 'as-is' and 'to-be' business processes, requirements, use cases and adhere to applicable standards  • Prepare for and conduct requirement elicitation activities.  • Help partners conceptualize the 'to-be' operational environment  • Learn and apply tools utilized by the Business Analytics team  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of data  • Identify process and system optimization opportunities  • Assist with keeping all stakeholders informed of analysis progress and issues encountered  • Effectively elevate large "road-block" issues to senior management for resolution  • Effectively research, analyze, and identify current and emerging technology trends/products/concepts that can improve the team or partners business process  • Create test scenarios/test cases and test scripts based on documented requirements  • Lead/facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and then document results  • Work with developers to retest bug fixes resulting from UAT sessions
