Job Description:

The Middleware Engineer is responsible for a web based service enrollment application running in a .Net, Java, Oracle environment. The Middleware Engineer is accountable for significantly contributing to overall technical architecture, stability, resiliency, and general health related to the Middleware infrastructure. WebLogic Administration (deploying applications, patching, maintenance, configuration, monitoring, tuning and documentation of environment) â¿¢ Troubleshooting J2EE application issues â¿¢ Security configuration and monitoring â¿¢ Operating System (Redhat 4/5/6) support as it relates to Weblogic â¿¢ Configuration and monitoring of clustered WebLogic application servers â¿¢ WebLogic system and application monitoring â¿¢ Conducting tuning adjustments based on monitoring data Requirements: 4+ years deploying, patching and maintaining Java applications deployed on WebLogic â¿¢ 4+ years experience with installation, maintenance, administration, and trouble shooting of LAN, WAN, computer hardware and software. â¿¢ 4+ years experience with LDAP directories and WebLogic â¿¢ 3+ years experience with Apache â¿¢ 3+ years experience setting up and maintaining WebLogic monitoring tools â¿¢ 3+ years experience with system capacity planning and future hardware/architecture requirements planning and documentation â¿¢ 1+ year experience with WebLogic 10, BPEL, and SOA Suite â¿¢ Understanding of basic Linux administration including users, groups, permissions, file systems, crontab, profiles and environment control â¿¢ Proficiency in Linux scripting â¿¢ Demonstrated ability and willingness to document procedures â¿¢ Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software; and providing assistance to users. â¿¢ BS/BA degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree â¿¢ Customer service skills (ability to deal with difficult situations) â¿¢ Strong interpersonal skills â¿¢ Team player who understands their role within the team and communicates with team members â¿¢ Strong analytical skills to resolve network and hardware related issues â¿¢ Excellent communication skills â¿¢ Meet the experience requirement or equivalent documented combination of training and experience (certifications, surplus years experience, etc).
