TITLE: AS/400 iseries  Support Consultant

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

 

AS 400

Provide advanced (level 2) technical support for application and hardware problem resolution on iSeries (AS/400) platform. Monitor current usage and adjust to achieve optimum performance for batch and interactive processing, assessing resource demands and maintaining current levels of the operating system software with the apply of appropriate PTFs or updates as necessary or recommended by vendors. Maintain documentation related to system configuration hardware and software. Support computer operations, technical team and application development staff by maintaining documentation on system operating procedures, streamlining procedures as required, and assisting in production system-related problem solving.
