Position: Tech Lead Linux Developer with Unix Skills

Location: Houston,TX

Duration: Longterm

 

Job Description:

Note: Looking for someone who has worked with Clusters, C++ programming, package configuration etc.

This is a research and development position, NOT a system administration or support position. Only the truly "high-level" development people will be considered. The goal of this role is to push the bounds of cutting edge technology concepts as it relates to Linux Systems in a large scale environment.

This role reports to the PCE Standards Team Leader. The PCE Standards Team delivers infrastructure development and standards to Upstream Technical Computing environments providing globally standard installs and procedures. The goals of the PCE Standards are to drive automation, remove differences, provide quick recovery / rollback, assurance of compliance, and silent running, for the Technical Computing environment.

This person will serve as the lead developer and subject matter expert in this area. The role will mentor other PCE Standard Team members. This person will lead and maintain the coding standards for the PCE. Primary responsibilities will be to maintain the GLD provisioning system, code repository, inter dependencies with in the PCE lab testing environment.
