Backend Java Developer IV San Jose, CA 6 Months

The Client Platform is a suite of web services, which are used by internal and external developers to enable payments anytime, anywhere and anyway. The Platform processes billions of requests each month, and enables Client and its partners to rapidly innovate on new payment scenarios and enable new experiences. Therefore, the evolution of the Platform is integral to Client's long-term strategy. As an engineer in our development team you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the APIs supporting Client user experiences on various channels (web, mobile, etc.), as well as integrations with partners. You will work closely with product and experience and/or integration teams to understand the developer needs and deliver the API that meets their needs As an engineer in our risk data acquisition team you will be responsible for development and delivery of simple, scalable mobile/web solutions that enables easy integration of Client services into our Mobile partner products and thereby collect critical risk data elements. The possibilities are unlimited for disruptive thinking and you will have an opportunity to be a part of making history in consumer market. The candidate would be responsible to • Independently design, build and test complex multi-tiered features based on highlevel requirements. • Coordinate with other teams within Client as needed. • Write detailed technical documentation to allow easy hand-offs to other team members. • Work effectively to foster a strong team environment. • Collaborate effectively with peer application designers and Architecture team to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas. • Employ technical expertise in helping team members overcome technical problems • Building mobile apps in an Agile and fast paced setting • Work closely with business partners, product management and design team to conceptualize new ideas and converting them into technical requirements and working closely with your peers to integrate risk seamless into partners. Job Requirements: • Targeting engineers with 8 to 10+ yrs. of experience. • Expert level Java and ability to resolve complex problems. • Knowledge of QA Automation processes and tools. • Knowledge of Spring and JavaScript • Knowledge of SQL, XML a plus. • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required due to the dynamic nature of discussions with other engineering teams and the business units. Basic Qualifications: • Initiative: Be proactive in sharing ideas and addressing needs • Teamwork: Collaborate with others toward a common goal • Integrity: Be trusted through open & honest communications and actions • Quality: Deliver excellent work Additional Job Info: The Risk Development Team is responsible to develop products to eliminate risks throughout Client's systems. Primary day to day job responsibilities include: • Participation in product requirements review. • Responsible for high-level and detailed technical design. • Coding highly available, testable, scalable components using Java and Restful web services and SQL in an Apache/Linux environment. • Conduct design and code reviews. • Work with various cross functional teams like Quality Assurance and Product Management to effectively deliver business solutions
