· 3-10+ years embedded software testing experience in commercial, medical or real time systems
· 3-10+ years real time operating system experience on Unix, Solaris or Linux
· 3-10+ years Unix scripting experience. i.e. csh, bash, Perl, or Python
· Experience translating requirements into test cases and test plans
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Experience in Python, is a plus
· Experience in C/C++ is a plus
· Experience with automated test tools is a plus
· Experience in Clearcase and Clearquest is a plus

Job Description
We are in search of a Controls Engineer to be a key person in the development of controls for robotic manipulators and similar electromechanical systems, including trajectory planning, motion control and servo tuning algorithm. Responsibilities:
- Development of controls for robotic manipulators and similar electromechanical systems, including trajectory planning, motion control and servo tuning algorithms
- Development of dynamic models, simulations in Matlab/Simulink environment, and implementation of software on real-time platforms.
- The responsibilities also include controls-related machine design analysis and selection of actuators, sensors and other controls-related components
Qualifications:
- Strong theoretical background and experience in dynamic model development
- Ph.D. degree in ME or EE with focus on dynamic systems and controls
- Knowledge of MATLAB/MathWorks for simulation and control algorithm development.
- Strong theoretical background and experience in control design, proficiency in Matlab/Simulink software, and proficiency in C programming
- Strong background with SBC's (Single Board Computers)
- Must have experience working with Linux based OS
- Familiarity with automation for semiconductor manufacturing applications preferred.
- Strong knowledge in Classical Controls
