Position : Engineer 6S (minimum three years of Automotive experience must )

Location : Plymouth, Mi

Duration : 1 year contract position

APQP Experience. 

Automotive interior experience. 

FCA customer knowledge. 

Travel to Northwood, OH and Sycamore, IL every 2 weeks on average. 

Launch/Advanced Quality Engineer responsible for executing Advanced Quality Planning with the customer and supply base.

 Primary responsibilities include: 

developing and executing all quality systems required in the launch of interior automotive components, customer and supplier sample submissions, and acting as key quality interface to the customer. A clear understanding of FCA systems is desirable. Travel to customer locations will be required. Individual will be representing a Tier II manufacturer, and will interface with JCI Tier I facilities, as well as the OEM customer. Seasoned and polished individual familiar with the automotive industry is required. 

Qualifications: 

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 3+ years of automotive quality engineering experience are required. The candidate must possess strong problem solving skills, knowledge of QS/TS standards, and customer experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate competency in quality statistical tools related to process capability, process control, measurement system analysis and product/process improvement. Familiarity with FCA specific reporting systems is essential. Experience with automotive interior materials is desirable, including fabrics,composites and plastic components.
