Mandatory Skills: Extensive experience providing Weblogic and JBoss Systems administration support in both a development and production environment
Job Description:
· Receive handoff of hardware and install software platform
· Daily maintenance of systems including monitoring, performance tuning, and applying necessary patches
· Set up and configure new web and application server instances and operating environments including nework and database configurations
· Create and maintain shell scripts to automate various tasks
· Maintain system backup & recovery procedures
· Support project assignments as directed
· Troubleshoot and resolve application and user problems
Key Personnel / Skill Set Requirements:
· Weblogic and JBOSS Systems Administrator
· Strong knowledge of UNIX operating systems (HP-UX, Sun/Solaris, AIX, Linux)
· Experience with Apache, iPlanet Webserver & Weblogic, JBOSS, products
· Extensive experience providing Weblogic and JBoss Systems administration support in both a development and production environment
· Knowledge of web and application server performance analysis, capacity planning and security
· Knowledge and experience of scripting languages to perform automation task
· Understand the best practices for general maintenance methodologies in various areas of system and middleware administration
· Extensive experience in configuration data sources and JDBC connection pools
· Experience in log analysis to troubleshoot and investigate the issue
· Strong knowledge in SDLC and change control
· Deploy application code to development and production environments
· Perform post validation once code is migrated from development to production
· Excellent verbal, written communication skills and possess outstanding interpersonal and teamwork
· Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision both individually and in a team setting
