Job Description :
Product coverage includes Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities and Derivatives. The analyst will need extensive experience in delivering executive Business Performance Management reporting, analytics and trend analysis, functional mapping, and testing. Work will include defining new standards for unauthorized trading using risk based rules and thresholds.
Tasks Include:
· Lead meetings with managers and subject matter experts to define and gather requirements and overall objectives . Understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with the Line and technology to ensure development and onboarding of data feeds are in line with business requirements.
· Define business rules to enrich, transform, and normalize data across multiple systems and assign data ownership.
· Execute data analysis to interpret information and proposes value-add analysis to empower Operations managers to reduce risk and improve productivity.
· Create, review and enhance global Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and tailor to meet the needs of regional managers and systems.
· Develop and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met / create test scripts including specific test cases and expected results . Understand and identify appropriate systems and processes working with the business and technology to ensure development and onboarding of data feeds are in line with business requirements.
· Use queries in BO / Microstrategy to analyze data and create reports . Utilize standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle.
· Produce and circulate status reports and RAID logs . In conjunction with the global team, deliver executive Business Performance reporting, providing daily, weekly, and monthly analytics explaining performance trends.
· Job Skills/Qualifications :
· Strong Business Analyst with minimum 3-5 years of experience in Investment Banking Operations. Project experience minimum of 2-3 years ideally within the Business Intelligence realm with exposure to operational risk and control.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills . Strong investment banking background . Proficient in Business Analysis . Extensive Data warehousing and BI knowledge . Well versed in the business requirements gathering process . End to end project experience from inception to deployment . Understanding of reference data and management . Experience with MIcrostrategy and Business Objects reporting . An understanding of reference data management . Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with mid-level management . Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
· Quickly grasp and master new requirements and related knowledge . Monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes . Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers . Ability to work independently, multi-task and take ownership of various parts of the project . Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, are essential
· jRules and SQL knowledge a plus
